Two years ago today we were blessed with a gift in Kaityn Mae. I seriously cannot believe that she is 2...she is my baby. After the birth of Cooper I was so nervous when we found out we were pregnant again. We did not know why Cooper came early (our early...God's timing is perfect) & I was nervous that the same would happen with Katiyn Mae. There was a little scare in December and other than some pregnancy "woes" carrying your fourth she was the only one of our children who came on time. I was so ready for her to be here. When she was born I remember asking Chris over and over "Is she OK...is she OK." You cannot believe the relief & joy it was to see her & hear her sweet cry. God had answered my prayers for a healthy, on time delivery.
Kaityn Mae is named after Chris's great grandmother...Lovey Mae. Isn't that such a sweet name? Her name means "pure flame who is like God." Our prayer for her is that she is like God. What a joy she has been these quick two years. Her laughter, character, faces, everything about her makes us smile & laugh.
Yesterday we were working with her to say, "I'm two". We would say, "Kaityn, how old are you?" She would say, "two". We would cheer, she would clap & soon it was a game. Over & over we did that. As I am typing this she is pushing her baby in the stroller & carrying her purse. She is such a good little Mommy. Earlier today she was in her room feeding her baby and singing to her. It is the cutest thing. She has a "Belle" doll from "Beauty & the Beast" that sings a song & she sings with it over and over and over and over. I think you get the point. She has the sweetest voice when she is talking. Her new thing now is if I am getting on to her she will say, "Hi Mommy" and lean over & give me a kiss. It is very hard not to laugh or give in to her.
She has melted all of our hearts.
Happy Birthday Kaityn Mae Mae. We all love you very much. We are grateful that God has placed you into our family & can't wait for this next year to see how you grow. God has great plans for you!!!!
